With COREF comes the ability to imagine the factory environment of tomorrow
Manufacturing + Engineering Week 2023 will have the pleasure of hosting a presentation entitled Reducing the barrier to entry for Digital Technology Integration for non-Enterprise level implementation in the IIOT & Connectivity Theatre on 7 June at 14.00
This presentation will explain how, through the Connected Reconfigurable Factory R&D programme, Thales UK and a consortium of partners have been developing I4.0 capability focussed on low volume, high mix, high complexity manufacturing environments. Over the past year COREF has developed a connected cell architecture enabling IOT tools from multiple vendors to be integrated in a provider agnostic way to reduce the barrier to entry for SMEs who may not be looking at enterprise solutions. COREF is now focussing on developing an accompanying Digital Twin for this connected architecture, focusing on data accessibility, manufacturing insight and enabling SMEs to integrate technology that meets their needs, avoiding one-size fits all solutions.
